Concours Lincoln Trail Region has not had a judged
Concours in recent years, but we do have judged car shows. However another
PCA club in our Zone does hosts Concours. Below is a listing of what
a Concours encompasses. If you are interested, contact the Chicago
Region for details on their next Concours and how you can participate. Concours dElegance is a term denoting
a gathering together of automobiles in competition for judging their
relative merits in terms of coachwork, design, finish, and appointments. June 29 - LTR Car Show in Champaign (same as last year). Hosted by Jay Yost. The much-anticipated 2008 Wheels & Wines Car Show and Concours dElegance will take place on June 29. While this event is sponsored by the PCA-LTR, it is a foreign and domestic car show and is open to all makes and models of automobiles. There will be two awards presented per class, as well as The Big ThreePeoples Choice, Judges Choice and Best of Show. Last year, being the first edition, we started small. We ate box lunches, had no t-shirts and the trophies were modest. This year, we are thinking bigger with a catered lunch by the English Hedgerow Bistro in Champaign and will be presenting awards worth winning. Of course, all of this is only complemented by the venueAlto Vineyards in Champaign. All of this sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Even if you do not plan on showing your car(s), please join us for cars among the vines. Sign up at Clubregistration.net As always, I welcome criticism, comments and questions.
