While “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people.” remains our motto, we recognize your enthusiasm for driving your Porsche. Both PCA and the Lincoln Trail Region provide various driving experiences tailored to different levels of skill and interest.

Club Drives

During the year, there are planned club day drives to various points of interest or restaurants. These drives offer a delightful and laid-back chance to hit the road with fellow Porsche enthusiasts. Occasionally, there are longer overnight drives arranged to driving destinations that may have an overnight involved.

Tracking Your Car

We’re fortunate to have numerous road courses and race tracks nearby. While there are many great tracks close to us, none are actually within our region. As a result, we typically participate in track events hosted by neighboring regions. If you’re new to track events, take a look at the information below to learn more about what they entail. Afterwards, feel free to reach to contact us about upcoming events and/or check Clubregistration.net for events nearby.

Autocross (AUTOX)

For those eager to test their Porsche’s performance in a competitive setting, the Porsche Club of America hosts autocross events. Autocross, a thrilling motorsport, involves navigating a defined course with precision and speed. These events provide Porsche owners with an exhilarating opportunity to showcase their driving skills in a controlled environment.

Autocross is the competitive sport of trying to navigate your car through a defined course of pylons usually on a large parking lot. Autocross courses are set up using soft orange traffic pylon cones (which should not damage your car) and events are run at speeds usually between 40-65 MPH, normally using 2nd and 3rd gear. As autocross is a “performance driving event” helmets are required as a part of safely learning how to drive your car at or near its limits. You not only learn how to handle your car at speeds that you drive daily, but you will also:

  • Porsche Club of America AutocrossFocus on improving your driving skills
  • Become a safer driver
  • Gain confidence in your driving ability
  • Learn the limits of your car
  • Learn correct seating, hand, and feet positions

High Performance Drivers Education (HPDE)

The Porsche Club of America’s Driver Education (DE) program aims to offer a secure, well-organized environment for teaching and learning. It’s tailored to help participants enhance their driving skills, grasp vehicle dynamics, and prioritize safety.
